Mol weaves through the crowd, her wrist flicking the toy like a nervous tic.  Almost there.

Sleeper.  Walking the dog.  Around the world.  Glinting and spinning on its string speckled with red.

A massive figure blocks her path.

'The data, Mol.'

She snorts, steps past him.  Thud.

She's facedown on the ground, breathless.  He pulls off the pack in a single motion.

'Better luck next—‘  SMACK.  He crumples, face bloody.

Mol snaps the yoyo back, sending red spray in all directions.

'Mom always said, the harder you hit, the luckier you get.'

She grabs the pack, disappears into the crowd.
